Our Favourite Interior Instagrammers
We keep up with the latest interiors trends by reading magazines, blogs and talking to those in the know, but you can’t beat a good browse on Instagram to see what’s going on in the industry and how everyday homeowners are redesigning their own spaces.
We’ve opened our little black book to share our favourite interiors influencers:
Dee Campling posts gorgeous images of her home, which reflects a chic boho style mixed with French vintage. We love that her interiors have a natural feel with soothing colour palettes and plenty of houseplants and flowers – and that her dog, Ted, often takes a starring role. Dee is an interior designer and social media influencer with over 171k Insta followers. She co-founded #myhomevibe and runs interiors workshops.
Kimberley is a self-confessed interiors addict, social media marketer and freelance writer. She posts fabulous images of her home, which reflects her eclectic boho style, mixed with a touch of glam. We’ve enjoyed following her journey of renovating her old Edwardian house and now she’s started again in a Victorian house.
Kate Watson-Smyth is a well-respected writer and interiors journalist. She not only runs her blog ‘Mad about the House’ but also ‘the Great Indoors’ podcast with designer Sophie Robinson. Her beautifully curated Insta account has over 194k followers and features images of her home. She describes her style as urban glamour, or perhaps modern rustic.
Kayleigh from No40_home_renovation has over 172k followers and counting. Her Instagram posts showcase her own home renovations and we’re delighted to see some of her interior designs feature our client my-furniture.com. It’s great to see her latest renovation updates – a confection of soft pinks and pale greys.
We first came across Jo Milton’s Insta account because she tagged our client Evolution Windows in one of her posts, having used their timber alternative windows in her own renovation project. Jo is an Interior Designer and shares posts of her own beautiful home, which she fully renovated. We love her soothing scheme of greys, creating an elegant home that is liveable and functional for her family.
Laura Cox’s dreamy Instagram account showcases images of her home interior designs. Perhaps her background of working in historic houses has influenced her own design ideas. Laura’s home features a lovely blend of calming colours, natural textures, mid-century pieces, houseplants and natural woods, which we think blends Scandi chic with a vintage boho feel.
Danielle from Housetohomeatlast has amassed 127k followers on Instagram. She started writing a blog to detail her own home renovations. In fact, she got so into the idea of home renovations that she decided to buy a second property to do up and sell on. We’ve enjoyed watching her progress in transforming her home and also love her great taste in window blinds from Blinds 2Go.
Lucy’s Insta account reflects her beautiful Scandi style. She says she is not a lover of clutter and instead uses clean lines, bright whites and greys along with natural woods and soft pinks to create her stylish family home. Her accompanying blog details her renovation project and is refreshingly honest about the blood, sweat and tears and lessons learned.
Lissi’s Insta posts are in many ways the antithesis of the many interiors Instagrammers who post endless posts of grey. Don’t get us wrong, we love the greys, but sometimes it wakes us up to have a pop of colour. On the Oxfordone page, you’ll find vibrant mustard chairs, an orange bath, colourful cushions and bursts of neon.
Karen and Katie run Beautifulhomesinthenorth where they showcase images they’ve taken for interiors magazines such as Ideal Home, Homestyle and Real Homes. We enjoy keeping an eye on their page to follow what’s current in interior trends.
