Have you seen the much-anticipated new colour of the year for 2022 from the Pantone Colour Institute? PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri is a violet-infused blue hue, which has been created to inspire personal inventiveness and creativity.
Pantone says Very Peri is a symbol of the global zeitgeist of the moment and represents the transition we are going through.
We think this sounds particularly apt for the year ahead and have trawled the web to search out the best interiors inspiration using mauves and periwinkle blues. Carry on reading for some of our favourite finds.

Beautiful shades of mauve feature in much of the M.M Linen collection. Their Floribunda Duvet Set (from £95 for a double) depicts spectacular clusters of wisteria blooms against a soft lilac-grey backdrop. As you can see here, shades of mauve and periwinkle blue tie beautifully with deep green. And not only is this luxurious 220 thread count duvet cover gorgeously smooth, but M.M Linen is a carbon neutral company and uses no plastic packaging.
If you’re in love with the Very Peri shade, we think you’ll adore this Alice Periwinkle wallpaper from Olenka (from £129 per roll). Sustainably made in England, Alice Perwinkle incorporates periwinkle blue, lilac and pale pink in a hand painted Russian folk art design
